Generating income from advertising to support the ongoing sustainability of the Trust
In October 2020 the Trust was awarded £9,000 from the Highland Council Town Centre Fund – a fund which enables local authorities to re-purpose town centres to become more diverse, successful and sustainable.
With these funds, the Trust invested in three, high-quality advertising boards. The notice boards have been installed in the Green car park beside the Portree VisitScotland iCentre in the centre of the village. Funds from advertising sales are reinvested to deliver environmental improvements around the village centre and help with the ongoing running costs of the organisation. Projects like this are essential in supporting the Trust to meet it’s long term aim of becoming financiallly independant.
